Three Suspects In Diego Martin Double Homicide Captured

Three suspects allegedly involved in yesterday’s double homicide in Diego Martin have been captured.

The suspects were apprehended during a coordinated operation executed by the officers of Western Division.

Between 6:30pm on November 13th and 1:30am on November 14th 2024, officers from the Western Division Gang Intelligence Unit (WDGIU), Western Division Task Force (WDTF), and West End Criminal Investigations Department (CID) carried out a targeted operation under the leadership of Senior Superintendent Williams.

During the operation, officers, acting on intelligence, proceeded to Covigne Road, Diego Martin where they apprehended a male suspect in connection with a recent homicide at Quarry Street, Diego Martin.

As the investigation unfolded, officers acted on further intelligence recovered an abandoned silver wagon vehicle at Boiler Trace, Cameron. The vehicle contained evidence critical to the investigation. The officers quickly proceeded to Upper Richplain Road, Diego Martin, where they arrested two additional suspects. One of the suspects was found in possession of a Sig Sauer pistol loaded with 9-mm ammunition.

According to police reports, around 6:30 pm on Wednesday 13 November 2024, three individuals were ‘liming’ near a mini mart located on Hillarie Street, Diego Martin, when a silver Nissan AD wagon approached. Three armed male assailants exited the vehicle and opened fire on the group, then quickly fled west along Hillarie Street.

Three men nursing gunshot wounds were taken to the St. James Infirmary to seek medical attention, however, two of the men succumbed to their injuries. The deceased men have been identified as Kalvin Levine, 27, of Green Hill Village, Diego Martin and Anfernee Rahim Eligon, 26, of Savannah Road #1, Diego Martin. The third man is presently in a stable condition at hospital.

The operation was coordinated by Snr Superintendent Williams, led by ASP Lynch, Insp Grant, and Sgt Dominique, with direct supervision by Cpls Garcia, Khan, and Peters, and a dedicated team including PC Joseph, PC McClean, PC Hollingsworth, PC Roberts, PC Wilson-Dowers, PC Ramkripaul, PC Mootie, PC Allard, and PC Sealey.
