Tobagonians can expect an increase in the prices of meats and eggs soon.
This, from President of the Tobago Agricultural Society, Dedan Daniel, who said there will be a 20 to 35 percent price increase on some of its produce.
Mr. Daniel said those farmers who rear chicken, sheep, and goat have had to pay more for cost of production, which will result in a knock on effect for customers. Amidst the issues, mainly the downturn of the economy during the Covid-19 pandemic and challenges in sourcing feed, Mr. Daniel said farmers will still try to maintain the quality of their produce.
