The Manatee platform jacket and piles have been completed by local fabricator Trinidad Offshore Fabricators Company (TOFCO) Limited, marking another milestone for Trinidad and Tobago’s energy services sector.
On Tuesday, Energy Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal joined Shell Trinidad and Tobago executives, government officials and industry stakeholders at TOFCO to mark the completion.
The jacket, fabricated locally using thousands of tonnes of structural steel, will anchor the offshore Manatee platform and is designed to withstand environmental forces throughout the life of the field.
In a media statement, Minister Moonilal congratulated the TOFCO team, highlighting the role of local expertise in delivering major energy projects.
He also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to partnerships that create opportunities for local industry and strengthen Trinidad and Tobago’s position as a Caribbean energy hub.
