T&T Beat Bahamas In Concacaf Nations League Match

Neveal Hackshaw’s fourth minute goal was enough to secure three points for Trinidad and Tobago against the Bahamas in the Concacaf Nations League at the Hasely Crawford Stadium last evening.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines held Nicaragua to a 2-2 draw in the earlier Group C match, a T&T win in the second would’ve kept them in touch with the group leaders.

After what had to be considered a shock 2-1 defeat to Nicaragua on the opening day of action in League B, T&T Coach Angus Eve promised a more attack oriented performance And while he made significant changes, T&T laboured against a youthful Bahamas squad. Eve’s own youthful infusions into the starting line-up and off the bench showed some promise but, overall, the team must improve if they are to find success as the tournament progresses.

T&T travels to St. Vincent and the Grenadines to play the bottom ranked hosts at the Arnos Vale Stadium on Friday.
