Trinidad and Tobago national boxer Tianna Guy has advanced to the Copa International Final with a dominant 5-0 victory over El Salvador’s Johanna Nicol Martinez in the Dominican Republic.
Guy now faces home favourite Katherine Vera in Friday’s championship bout, with gold at stake.
Already assured of a medal, Guy and coach Reynold Cox remain focused on clinching the title.
The tournament is a key step in Guy’s preparation for the upcoming Central American and Caribbean Games, following her international success in Poland and another successful national title defence earlier this year.
Guy’s championship match is set to take place at 8pm.
