The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) successfully restored power to several areas in Trinidad after power outages were reported across the island.
A media release from T&TEC on Wednesday advised customers that due to a problem at one of the country’s power plants, various locations across the country were without an electricity supply. T&TEC said the problem occurred at approximately 11:30 am. The power outages were experienced in communities in North, East, Central and South Trinidad.
T&TEC is yet to reveal the cause of the problem.
