The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has confirmed that the High Court has granted a Preliminary Unexplained Wealth Order against the People’s National Movement and its trustees.
The order, issued under the Civil Asset Recovery and Management and Unexplained Wealth Act, follows an application by the TTPS as part of an ongoing investigation.
The TTPS says the order is an interim measure and does not represent a final finding of wrongdoing or liability. The matter remains before the Court, with due process to be followed.
The TTPS says it remains committed to investigating allegations of corruption, white-collar crime and financial offences without fear or favour, emphasizing that all persons and entities are equal before the law.
The Service is also urging citizens to rely on verified information as the judicial process continues.
