TTPS To Probe Use Of Pepper Spray By Police During School Fight

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Curt Simon, has responded to a question regarding a video on social media of a police officer pepper spraying a student by saying he has called for a report on the incident.

He noted that he only became aware when he saw it on social media. The incident is said to have happened at South East Port of Spain Secondary School.

Meanwhile Assistant Superintendent of Police, Leon Haynes, confirmed that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has been mandated to crack down on illegal quarrying.

ASP Haynes, who heads the Multi-Agency Taskforce, noted the instruction came from the Commissioner of Police.
