We People, We Nation, was the latest exhibition hosted by the National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad and Tobago and the Ministry of Culture and Community Development, at the Stollmeyer’s Castle.
According to chairman of the National Museum, Richard Rampersad, the Literary works, artifacts, and art it featured captured some of this country’s tangible and intangible resources.
A partnership with Bocas Lit Fest birthed a focal point: the Objects of Memory, where six commissioned literary works saw authors fictionalise specific objects from the national collection.

Festival and programme director of the Bocas Lit Fest, Nicholas Laughlin, hopes to see the writers’ work published in a commemorative book.
The exhibition also celebrated 64 years of independence and 50 years as a republic for Trinidad and Tobago.
