23rd Commonwealth Games Officially Open In Scotland

The 23rd Commonwealth Games officially opened on Thursday at Scotland’s OVO Hydro Stadium, marking the start of two weeks of competition involving 74 nations.

The dazzling ceremony culminated with all teams taking the stage, proudly showcasing their national colours.

Trinidad and Tobago’s 36-member contingent was led by flag bearers, heavyweight boxer Nigel Paul and netball star Joelisa Cooper.

Together, they proudly displayed the country’s presence at the global event.

Over the course of the games, Team T&T will compete in athletics, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, judo and netball as they aim to make their mark on the international stage.
