In table tennis, the Trinidad and Tobago women’s team battled back from the brink of elimination to edge past Costa Rica 3-2 and book its spot in the last eight of the CAC Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Chloe Fraser was unbeaten on the day, sweeping both her singles matches, while Rheann Chung battled through five games for the decisive point, a valuable win that secured the team’s victory.
In the pool, Dylan Carter touched first in the men’s 50m butterfly final, clocking 23.43 seconds to win gold. Team-mate Nikoli Blackman also stood on the podium, taking bronze in the 200m freestyle with a time of 1:49.41.
