Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC will not be attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), as previously announced.
This was confirmed by the Office of the Prime Minister on Monday afternoon.
It noted that Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Sean Sobers will represent the Government of Trinidad and Tobago at the meeting.
The Office of the Prime Minister added that, as a result, Mrs Persad-Bissessar will revert to her existing schedule.
The opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting is expected to take place on Tuesday in Antigua, where King Charles III will also be present.
