33,600 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrived in the country on Wednesday morning.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health’s Facebook page, the vaccines arrived at the Piarco International Airport just after 6:00 a.m.
This shipment represents the third tranche from the COVAX facility.
Earlier this week, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said part of this shipment will be reserved for people who are ready to get their second shot.
T&T got its first tranche of 33,600 AstraZeneca doses on March 30, then another 33,600 on May 10.
