In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month, the charitable non-profit organisation Hope Centre in San Fernando received a donation of US$10,000 from Marubeni Power International Inc.
Hope Centre is a temporary home for abused and abandoned children.
Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Hope Centre, Dr. Indira Couch, said the Home continues to survive because of the overwhelming generosity of the community and corporate sponsors such as Marubeni Power International. She said this financial boost will have a significant impact on the Centre’s ability to continue serving children and families in crisis.
Dr. Couch said Marubeni’s donation to Hope Centre will go directly towards funding therapy and education to help the children of HOPE Centre heal and thrive in a safe environment.
Marubeni Power International is the power business development arm of Marubeni Corporation, a Japanese trading firm.
