Despite having a slow start in the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League, the Jamaica Kingsmen booked their spot in the final.
This came after they were on the winning end of a dramatic chase against the Guyana Amazon Warriors in their qualifier two match on Friday.
The Jamaica Kingsmen punched their ticket in the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League final after a dramatic victory against the Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Kensington Oval.
Chasing a daunting target of 207, the Kingsmen had a blistering start from Maaz Sadaqat scoring 41 off 17 and a composed half-century from Keacy Carty to set up victory.
Despite late jitters, wickets kept tumbling as Hassan Khan sealed the win with a boundary, sparking celebrations as Jamaica advanced to Sunday’s final against the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons.
Earlier in the first innings the Warriors aided by Shimron Hetmyer’s second century of the season, a 45-ball masterclass. Supported by Shai Hope and Quentin Sampson, Hetmyer’s late flourish lifted Guyana to 206 for 6.
The victory marks a remarkable return season for the rebranded Jamaica Kingsmen, who now have the chance to claim CPL glory against the Falcons in a rematch of the opening game of the campaign.
