Creating a clean and safe environment for sea turtles during the nesting season is the number one priority of the Las Cuevas Eco-Friendly Association.
The Association, in collaboration with Fishermen and Friends of the Sea, hosted a beach clean-up exercise at the Las Cuevas beach on Saturday.
It said the clean-up is necessary as the high level of garbage on the shore creates difficulties for hatchlings.
