One More Dengue-Related Death, Cases Now At 1,315

The Ministry of Health has confirmed one more dengue-related death, bringing the number of confirmed deaths to 13.

In their latest public update on dengue, the Ministry of Health also says there are now 1,315 laboratory confirmed cases.

The epidemiological update also states that 914 Yellow Fever Notices have been issued to property owners/occupiers, directing them to clean up their surroundings. Forty three of those property owners/occupiers are being considered for legal proceedings for failing to comply.

The Ministry reminds that dengue fever may be spread by the bite of an infected Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Symptoms last one to two weeks and can include fever, headaches, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pains, as well as a skin rash, nausea, and diarrhoea.
