After winning 100-metre gold in last year’s Junior Pan American Games, Trinidad and Tobago sprinter Shaniqua Bascombe has brought that success into 2026.
Running for the Jamaican track and field team Uptimum, the 22-year-old won gold in the women’s 200-metre final at Velocity Fest 19 in Kingston, recording a new personal best in that event as well as in the 100-metre dash.
Following her success, TTT Sport sat down with the sprinter at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
