The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of North, Central, and South Trinidad, served by the Caroni Water Treatment Plant that there will be a disruption in their pipe-borne water supply on Monday, April 27th, 2026, until 3pm.
This disruption is necessary to facilitate a transformer replacement project being carried out by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) at the Caroni Arena Substation, located at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant.
WASA said the Caroni Water Treatment Facility will experience a complete shutdown from 7am to 10am. Following this period, the plant will resume reduced production from 10am to 3pm. During this time, water supply will gradually return, however, customers may experience low pressures as the system recharges.
