Showers Reign In Barbados

There were welcome showers for many in the Caribbean but it did not auger well for the clash between Scotland and England at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

In their first clash of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the game was reduced to a 10 overs per side affair, with Scotland batting first, scoring 90 without loss. Michael Jones top scored with 45 while George Munsey got 41. The showers reigned supreme at the halfway interval and the match was deemed a no result.

In the other match of the day, Nepal locked heads with the Netherlands in Dallas Texas. Nepal took first strike and got to 106 all out in 19.2 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel top scored with 35. Tim Pringle and Logan Van Beek, took 3 wickets each.

The Netherlands made light work of the chase, getting to 109 for 4 in 18.4 overs. Opener
Max O’Dowd spearheading the chase with 54 not out. The Dutch winning by 6 wickets.
