The massive sinkhole in St James into which a car sunk on Tuesday has been repaired.
When TTT News visited the Western Main Road on Wednesday the hole had been covered with asphalt and the area was being prepared for paving.
Business owners and workers in the area said the vehicle which went into the sinkhole was pulled out around two o’clock on Tuesday afternoon.
Later on Tuesday evening, WASA workers visited to pump the water out of the hole allowing it to be refilled.
The Western Main Road in the vicinity of the TTPS Police Barracks is a busy traffic area and the sinkhole and its repair caused traffic to be backed up.
