In a media release, SATT said that its member stores will no longer be accepting these older notes after Wednesday 15th December.

SATT stated in such circumstances in such a short turnaround period without transition, customers and shoppers should take advantage of the period to transact their notes in stores, or deposit them accordingly.

After January 1st, 2022 the cotton notes and the first version of the $50 polymer note will become illegal tender.
