Dozens of trucks are on their way to Tobago on board the MV Cabo Star. After over three weeks, the cargo vessel resumed service on Tuesday.
Chamber of Commerce Tobago Division Chair, Curtis Williams, told TTT News there was some delay in the sailing, however he indicated the business community is grateful. Mr. Williams added with several trucks trying to get to Tobago there was a major pile up at the Port of Spain Port.
The Chamber’s Tobago Division also got a positive response to their call for a meeting with Minister of Transport Rohan Sinanan. They will meet on Friday in Tobago.
The MV Cabo Star was out of service as a result of a fire which took place on August 23rd. In the interim, Venezuelan vessel, the MV Empendedora, provided the sea bridge cargo service for just under one week.
