Health officials are reporting a downward trend in COVID-19 hospital rates, which they say is also consistent with decreased cases of the virus.
Principal Medical Officer of Institutions Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards says the occupancy rate across hospitals in Trinidad and Tobago was just at 33% as of this morning, representing 192 patients.
The average use of the COVID-19 ambulance fleet also stands at just 14%. Dr. Abdool-Richards hopes this is the start of a consistent downward trend as it relates to the COVID-19 virus.
