Heritage Petroleum Company Limited is commemorating the successful drilling of the Royston-1 exploration well.
In a release the company said it is encouraged by the substantial hydrocarbon potential of the well and the prospectivity of the Herrera Sands.
Heritage holds 20% working interest in the Ortoire Block joint venture, which is operated by Touchstone Exploration Inc.
Well testing will soon commence on the Herrera Formation, which will provide a better picture of the economic potential of the well according to the company.
CEO of Heritage Arlene Chow, said The Royston-1 well results are very encouraging, especially for development of the Herrera plays, which she believe has significant potential both in the Ortoire block and elsewhere on Heritage’s acreage.
