The Ministry of Education says its multi-stakeholder response to an incident at San Juan North Secondary School continued today, with a focus on strengthening security at the institution.
Permanent Secretaries Simone Williams and Keshore Lutchman led a meeting at the school with representatives from the Ministry of Homeland Security, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the Policy and Community Support Office, MTS, TTUTA and several Ministry of Education divisions, along with the school’s administration.
The meeting focused on coordinating the ongoing response and identifying measures to further strengthen the school’s physical security systems.
The Ministry says the safety of students, teachers and administrative staff remains a priority as it works to maintain safe and supportive learning environments across Trinidad and Tobago.
